NOurishment
The old paradigm of health meaning food that doesn’t taste good, or restriction of those things we love is no longer relevant. It’s time to flip the script – to talk about what we need to be adding in to our lives, not taking things away. We don’t have the basics in place and this is what we will teach you.
detoxification
When we think of detoxing, we often picture difficult fasts and protocols. While those have their place, we'll focus on the daily habits that support your body's natural detox pathways. We'll guide you through simple, free tools to help you detox regularly. Something that is becoming even more important with the crazy toxic load we all seem to be facing in 2024.
movement
Time and time again scientific studies confirm the single most important addition you can include to extend lifespan (and healthspan!) is exercise. It’s a habit that needs to be learnt young and carried on throughout life. It’s a pain and not always do we feel like it but we need to get that consistency over time. We'll teach you the key principles of exercise and why they are essential for keeping your body functioning at its best.

While connection to others is important, this pillar centers on the most vital relationship – the one with yourself. In a fast-paced world, self-connection is often neglected, yet it's the foundation for everything. Through breathwork, meditation, and grounding, you'll reconnect with yourself, nourishing your mind, body, and soul. Whether you're new or experienced, we’ll help you deepen your techniques.
Meet the team

Founder
Health and wellbeing is in my blood. I’ve been passionate about food, nutrition, and holistic wellness since a teenager with a sincere desire to help people achieve better health.
This passion took me on a journey through the charitable and business sectors. In 2011, I was fortunate to contribute to the Human Microbiome Project with the Hadzabe tribe in Tanzania.
In 2013, I founded Rebel Kitchen, a B Corp health food company focused on creating organic, additive-free products. My goal was to show that healthy food could lead to healthier business practices. After leaving the company in 2020, I pursued further studies in food as medicine.
In 2023, I completed a diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy, blending science with practical health solutions to guide individuals on their unique wellness journeys.

Yoga and Bodywork Expert
Over the years, I have been blessed to have studied, practised and taught many different styles of Yoga. Through this journey, I have learnt - and taught - that yoga is a union between oneself and one’s individual, inner higher self. Hence enabling the individual to understand & accept oneself to become the best person you can be in all aspects of their lives - be it sports, play, business relationships.
I have been fortunate enough to have studied different yoga styles and techniques with some of the best Yoga teachers in the world as my research has taken me to the United States, India, Thailand New Zealand and Australia and across varied disciplines as Sivananda Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Hammock Yoga, Purna Yoga and Yoga Nidra. In turn being guided by inspirational teachers including Dr Keshava, Richard Freeman, David Swanson, Bryan Legere, Shiva Rea, Annie Carpenter, Aadil Palkhivala and Ana Forrest.

Chef
Sam is a Nutritional Therapist, Chef, and Food Presenter. She is the founder of The Life Larder, a newsletter and community platform aimed at people passionate about creating tasty, effortless food that is good for our bodies and our planet.
Sam has translated her lifelong passion for food into a career empowering people to eat in a way that nourishes our bodies, minds, and world.
Today, Sam is widely acknowledged as an expert in connecting the dots between healthy soil, good produce and healthy bodies. She works with leading global organisations and has partnered with the likes of Soho House, Porsche & the RHS.

The human pillars retreat is a one-day workshop that will immerse you in the Human Pillars concept – a foundational way to look at your health through the lens of four pillars – nourishment, detoxification, connection and movement. We will teach you principles under each pillar to live by, to lean on and to build your foundations upon so that you can keep your human body operating optimally. It’s all the things you wish you were told when you were old enough to understand but never were. With these basic principles, you will be given the blueprint of how to work WITH your body so you can get on with living your best life.
